What is CD Replication?

CD replication is a manufacturing process that involves molding each individual CD from plastic pellets. We create a glass master of your master CD. From that glass master, a metal stamper is created. We use it to stamp your material onto each plastic, molded CD. Replication provides you with an EXACT replica of your master. Replicated CDs are imprinted with either an offset or silkscreen process. As with most offset printing, we recommend that you replicate orders of 500 discs or more to ensure consistency in imprint colors.

What is CD Duplication?

CD duplication is the process of copying data. It's just that simple! It is similar to "burning" a CD on your computer but we use multiple, large-volume duplication towers to speed up the process and cut down on copying errors. Duplicated CDs are imprinted (photo on CD face) with either a photo quality 600dpi thermal imprint or an inkjet imprint.

What is CD authoring?

You can send us files in a variety of native or post-production formats. Most customers then ask us to use our CD duplication services in the desired quantity.

Good Ideas when placing an order

  • Submit 2 masters
This allows us to have an extra “just in case” one is scratched, damaged or otherwise imperfect. Don't worry – all masters will be returned to you.
  • Test your master
Test your masters for playability (CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Ray) & functionality (DVD, Blu-Ray).
